Murphy Chamber of Commerce is signing up sponsors and vendors for its annual Spring Fever celebration set for April 14.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Lowe’s parking lot at the intersection of FM 544 and Murphy Road. Spring Fever is being held a few weeks later than last year to avoid a conflict with other area events.

On tap are a vendor fair of local businesses and arts and crafts, live music, children’s activities, food trucks and a car show.

“It’s family friendly,” Juli Richards, chamber executive, said. “We try to get the community involved.”

As part of the event, Murphy Chamber of Commerce Scholarship will conduct a Bucket Dump to raise funds for scholarships awarded high school seniors from Murphy. Participants have three chances to make a bucket tip over and dump its contents on a willing participant, including Mayor Scott Bradley.
