Panther soccer pounced on a pair of must-needed wins in District 6-6A.

They beat McKinney 2-1 and rival Plano West 3-0 at Clark Stadium in Plano.

Plano East head coach Rick Woodard said it was a good week overall.

“We played really well in the first half against McKinney and then struggled in the second,” he said. “We needed that win for sure.”

He added about Plano West, “That’s a rivalry game so it always makes the game a little bigger. We played very well and were to get the win.”

After last week the Panthers were second in the standings with 20 points and McKinney Boyd led the way in first.
