From Staff Reports
The Collin County grand jury last week indicted a 26-year-old Murphy man on charges of manslaughter and an accident involving a death in connection with a Thanksgiving Day 2017 car-bicycle wreck.
Named in the indictment was William T.J. Manatsa.
Police reports from the time of the fatal accident show that Manatsa was driving north in the 700 block of N. Murphy Road about 2:35 a.m. Nov. 23 when he struck a northbound bicycle ridden by Cameron Owen Zimmerman-Randle, 34.
Zimmerman-Randle was pronounced dead at the scene and Manatsa was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter and booked into jail.
