Dear Editor,
It is imperative to remember that each of our Councilmembers represent all of Murphy. They do not represent only those in their neighborhood, or those at their children’s school , or those that look like them. The Murphy City Council is a non-partisan entity and our Council does not make decisions based on political party positions or platforms. They do not represent only those that agree with them on a particular issue. Council must consider and balance the needs and wants of its residents and business owners. We have no districts in our community. This makes us unique among the surrounding cities. The issues that impact one neighborhood affect us all.
Respectfully,
Colleen Halbert
