Cowboy boots, ten-gallon hats and belt buckles were in abundance during the Jan. 13 Murphy Chamber of Commerce awards banquet and casino night at the Hyatt Place in Garland. The theme was “A Texas Affair.”
The festivities, attended by over 100 guests, included live and silent auctions, appetizers, an open cash bar, dinner, casino games and line dancing instruction. The Murphy Jazz Orchestra, comprised of Murphy middle school and high school students, provided music throughout the evening.
