Maize Days set for this weekend

The flames paint job provides the first indication this 1980 MGB owned by Steven Ward is a little out of the ordinary. Under the hood, the stock 4-cylinder motor has been replaced by a 355 cubic inch Chevrolet motor.

 If you’re looking for a family friendly fun event, the eighth annual Murphy Maize Days is this weekend.

The day kicks off early Saturday, Sept. 24 for running enthusiasts, beginning with a 7:45 a.m. Mile For Kyle race and the A-Maize-ing 5K/10K races kicking off at 8 a.m., both at Kimbrough Stadium. To sign up for the races visit www.murphymaizedays.com and click on 5K run.
