The Plano East Senior High School Band Program was awarded the Sudler Flag of Honor from the John Philip Sousa Foundation.

The formal presentation was Thursday, May 19, at Plano East Senior High School during the PESH Band’s Spring Concert.

This year, only two high school bands earned the exclusive award, which is based on seven consecutive years of excellence. All Sudler Flag of Honor Bands are automatically included in the Sousa Foundation’s Historic Roll of Honor of outstanding high school concert bands. In addition to the presentation of the flag, each of the band’s current 200 student members will receive individualized Sudler Flag diplomas.
