It’s been a roller-coaster district season for the Lady Panthers, and those ups and downs resulted in an 8-8 record within 6-6A.
That was also good enough to earn East the No. 4 seed in the postseason, a place the Lady Panthers haven’t been since 2014. They finished 3-13 in district a year ago, which ended them up in last place.
PESH will open the bi-district round this weekend against District 5-6A champ Keller. They earned that with a 10-0 win over Hebron on April 19, which was followed by a 4-3 loss Friday at Allen in the regular-season finale.
Game 1 versus Keller begins 7 p.m. tonight at Keller, continues with Game 2 Friday at East, also starting at 7 p.m.
If necessary, Game 3 will be played 2 p.m. Saturday at Plano East.
