While many were caught by “surprise” by Plano East’s run through the postseason – it ended this past Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Coppell in the Region I title game in Midland – head coach Rick Woodard wasn’t one of them.
“I knew that anything was possible with this group,” the Panthers’ leader said, “because one we got the core and everybody healthy and rolling, I knew the sky was the limit. They never quit; they always had a positive attitude and it never stopped. No, it didn’t realize surprise me.”
