Basketball update 2-6-16

The Panthers maintained their two-game lead in District 6-6A – they already have clinched a playoff spot – with a 77-67 win at Hebron on Friday. At 11-1, PESH leads second-place Allen (9-3), with Flower Mound (bye on Friday) and Hebron each at 7-6, and Lewisville at 7-7 after beating McKinney Boyd 53-46 on Friday.

The Lady Panthers are out of the playoff picture, but they did improve to 8-7 Friday with a 62-43 home victory over Hebron. They can finish 9-7 in 6-6A by winning at Allen on Tuesday. The Lady Eagles have clinched at least fourth place, and have earned a playoff spot along with Plano West, Flower Mound and Plano.
