The Panthers improved to 11-1 in 6-6A play with 62-52 home win Tuesday over Lewisville. The victory not only keeps East two games in front of the nearest competitor (Allen at 9-3) with four regular-season games left to play.
PESH’s Lady Panthers fell to 7-7 in district play, and three games out of fourth place, with a 65-52 loss to Lewisville. The fifth-place Lady Panthers trail Plano West (13-1), Flower Mound (12-3), Plano (11-3) and Allen (10-4).
The Panthers play Friday at Hebron, while the East girls will host the Lady Hawks.
