Plano East’s boys basketball team improved to 8-1 in District 6-6A with a 65-49 win at McKinney Boyd, while the Lady Panthers are 6-5 following a 67-27 home win over Boyd. The Panthers are two games ahead of Allen (7-3) in the standings and three in front of Flower Mound and Plano West (each at 6-4). East’s girls are fifth in the standings, a game and a half behind fourth-place Allen (8-4).
