The worst thing anyone could possibly say about Plano East boys basketball is that all they do is win games.
Not much of a critique, and it’s one the Panthers and their fans would probably love to hear for the rest of the season. So far, PESH has found ways to pull out victory after victory this district season, and as of last Friday that resulted in them posting a 6-6A leading 7-1 record; the last two victories were a 59-58 win Jan. 12 over Flower Mound and a 77-59 wasting of Plano West this past Friday.
As of press time, the Panthers led Allen (6-2) by a game in the standings, with Plano West (5-3) in third and Flower Mound, Hebron, Lewisville and McKinney Boyd (each 4-4) battling for fourth. Lewisville, which visits Plano East on Feb. 2, is the only team to defeat the Panthers in district competition.
