The Panthers propelled themselves to the top of the district standings this past week.
First, they outlasted Hebron 55-50 at home on Jan. 5, and then seized sole possession of first in District 6-6A with a 55-49 win Friday at Allen. East is now 5-1 in district play following Friday’s win, a game ahead of Allen and Plano West, each at 4-2.
