The most time-tested and proven method to beat an opponent is to outwork them.
Plano East wrestlers Monica Soltero and Monica Shafik, each a Murphy resident, do that quite a bit, and they plan to continue that trend over the next few months.
“The biggest thing for both of them is that they’re here (at practice) every day,” said Plano East girls’ head coach Eric Semifero. “They work hard. Kids in this generation, it’s real hard to find (ones) with the drive to want to be good at something, to put the work in. The two of them are willing to work and put in the time to be good.”
