East girls begin 6-6A play; boys off to Culwell tourney

School resumed this week and so did the schedules for Plano East’s basketball teams.
For the Lady Panthers, the District 6-6A season commenced Tuesday at Flower Mound and continues Friday with a home game versus Plano West.  A week later, on Friday, Dec. 11, the Lady Panthers resume competition at McKinney Boyd.
East enters the district fray after going 6-6 against what head coach Cherilyn Morris calls very tough preseason opposition.
That included a 52-48 loss on Nov. 24 to a strong Waco Midway team.
