The Lady Panthers have taken some positive strides, which are part of the growing process.

Also included in that maturation are moments of frustration, where things do not go one’s way. That’s something PESH has become quite familiar with the last few weeks, particularly regarding losing tight matches.

A few weeks ago, East fell in five games to Lewisville, and this past Friday it happened again versus Allen at home (15-25, 27-25, 26-24, 26-28, 9-15), a contest that ended the first half of District 6-6A competition.

“It’s frustrating, but it’s also a learning process,” head coach Scott Sandel said. “You have to get in those situations and find a way to get one of those matches. When we do, that learning curve goes to the next step. That’s where we are.”
