Plano East is riding high heading into this weekend’s district opener at Flower Mound.

In the past two weeks, the Panthers have dispatched Lake Highlands and Jesuit, the latter 57-42 last Friday at Kimbrough Stadium. Those two victories have propelled the black and gold into the top 20 rankings in some polls.

It also has head coach Joey McCullough focusing on making sure his guys aren’t too overconfident when they hook up with the Jaguars (0-2), which fell 38-28 to Keller last week.
