City of Murphy blood care drive
City of Murphy blood drive is slated for 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Murphy Walgreens, which is located at 103 W. FM 544.
The Carter Bloodcare bus will be positioned in the parking lot.
The drive is in honor of Pulmonary Hypertension patients Meera Salamah and Honey Kennedy.

Maize Days vendors applications
In preparation for the seventh annual Murphy Maize Days, vendor applications are currently being accepted.
Applications can be found at the www.murphymaizedays.com or by email [email protected].
Maize Days is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Municipal Complex.
Murphy Animal Shelter
The Murphy Animal Shelter is in need of more volunteers.
They would like to have enough volunteers so they can have help with answering phones and helping customers that walk in. To sign up to volunteer visit the city’s website at murphytx.org/65/Animal-Control.
