From Staff Reports

If you’ve ever wondered how clean your favorite restaurant is, wonder no more. The city of Murphy publicizes the Health ratings of restaurants in the city on their website. The Environmental Services Department handles the ranking and the inspections. Any resident can make an informed decision based on the ratings. Grocery stores, schools, food marts, restaurants and Orchard Park are included in the rankings.

The evaluations are on a 100 point system with excellent ranking falling in the 97-100 range. Some of the businesses with a ranking in that range were Walmart Super Center Deli, Whataburger and McMillen High School.

A Good ranking is between 92-96. A few of the businesses that fell in that category were Foxiis Sports Grill, Dominos and Heritage Montessori.

The next range was fair. Those numbers fell into the 85-91. Some of those businesses include CiCi’s pizza, Boomerjack’s Grill and Yanni’s Greek Cafe.

A poor ranking is rated in the 70-84 range and according to the city of Murphy site, there was only one business that fell in that category.
