College trustee election set for runoff

Voters in Murphy head to the polls again next month to decide a runoff election Place 7 on the Collin College Board of Trustees.

The runoff election day is slated for June 13.

The Collin College trustees runoff pits Jim Orr against Collin Kennedy. Neither earned more than the 50 percent of the vote in May 9 balloting that was required to win the election outright.

Early voting for the runoff opens June 1 and runs through June 9. Early voting locations are at the Collin County Elections Office, 2010 Redbud Blvd in McKinney; McKinney Fire Station No. 5, 6600 W. Virginia Pkwy.; and McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee.

Hours for early voting are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 1-3 and June 5-6, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 4; and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 8-9.
