Pet Adoptions

Tractor Supply Company in Wylie at 900 Westgate Way is hosting a pet event Saturday, May 30 to encourage adoptions and support local animal groups. They will have free adoption kits on hand throughout Purina Days for the first 10 customers who adopt a pet or animal from a local shelter or rescue. During the event, the store will host the Chicks with the Pits at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 30 and pet adoptions.

Plano Heritage Farmstead Museum

 

Plano Heritage Farmstead Museum will present its 5th annual “Friends of the Farmstead,” Saturday, June 13. The fundraising dinner and concert event will feature appearances by the Dallas Mavericks’ Donnie Nelson and the acoustic folk group The Trishas. The event will be held at the Heritage Farmstead Museum located at 1900 West 15th Street in Plano.

Tickets include a Texas BBQ dinner, concert, beer and wine. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. for a VIP reception in the Texas Legends Lounge. VIP reception begins at 6:30 p.m.; BBQ dinner will be served at 7 p.m. followed by the concert.

Neighborhood Crime Watch

Murphy Police Department will conduct Neighborhood Crime Watch training from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight, May 28 at the department’s training room at 206 N. Murphy Rd. NCW meetings are typically scheduled the last Thursday of the month.

Farmers Market

Collin County Farmers Market will be held fro 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the city hall parking lot, 206 N. Murphy Rd

Rainbow Classic
